Based in Toronto Canada, I am an IT professional with decades of experience in hardware, software, development, support, and many other disciplines. I've worked in corporate environments supporting companywide initiatives and worked in business groups developing new successful products.

After graduating college in the 80s in electronics technology, I quickly found work building and troubleshooting integrated computer circuit boards. From there I advanced to component level repair of computers and peripherals. Technology was rapidly advancing, and component level repair became Impractical. Damaged boards became too compact and frail to repair. The industry evolved to board level diagnoses and replacement. I found myself doing onsite support and repair for the same computer manufacturer throughout southern Ontario.

I then accepted an offer to work for a corporate business information company. In the 10 years working at that company, I learned many new skills. I started working in the IT department. Then circulation department managing large databases, and then an internal start-up doing software development. The product was extraordinarily successful and continues to grow even larger.

For the last 20 years, I have been working as an independent contractor doing software development, application maintenance, and data analytics. I also partnered with a marketing expert to create an online e-commerce storefront.

Today I remain fully engaged in technology. After so many years, the advancements I've seen in technology would have been unimaginable when I started. The aspects of development that have now become their own specialties and disciplines amaze me. As technology continues to be an increasing element of modern life, I expect the future will amaze.
